Inês Pereira, MD PhD

You spent a decade becoming a doctor. You're allowed to want something else more.

I'm Inês: physician, computational neuroscientist, mother. I've changed careers twice and lived in three different countries. I help doctors who feel stuck figure out what's next, and help them get there.

Zurich, 2026

Notes from the way here

  1. 2010

    Lisbon

Degree at the NOVA Medical School & Charité University Hospital in Berlin. I was sure I'd be a neurologist for life.

  2. 2016

    Berlin

Neurology residency, in a language I was still learning. It was intense. Then my partner sent me a link to a webpage about computational neuroscience.

  3. 2018

    Zurich

Left the clinic for a master's at ETH Zurich, then a PhD on MRI, brain connectivity and chronic fatigue.

  4. 2025

    Clinical AI

Clinical AI at a healthtech startup: one foot in medicine, the other in product, sales and engineering.

  5. Now

    My own terms

Helping other doctors find their way out of the clinic, or back in, on their own terms.

What we can work on

Choosing a direction

Research, industry, a startup, part-time clinic, a different specialty. Which paths fit you, and what each really asks of you.

Changing country

Recognition, language levels, applications and the unwritten rules in Portugal, Germany and Switzerland.

Doing it with a family

Changing course with children, or while planning for them, without waiting for a perfect moment.

An honest conversation

Every good consultation starts with an anamnesis: you tell me where you stand and what you're weighing up. Then we map out your options. In English, German, French or Portuguese.
